Are you passionate about technology and eager to gain real-world experience in IT operations? Tropic is offering an exciting entry-level opportunity, on a 12 month fixed term contract, at our Norwich site, where you’ll play a hands-on role supporting our IT systems and users across the organisation.

Job Purpose

As a Junior IT Support Technician, you’ll assist in day-to-day operations, including user support, hardware setup, asset management, and cybersecurity practices. You’ll gain valuable exposure to enterprise tools and IT project work while collaborating with internal teams to ensure secure, efficient, and reliable IT operations.

Responsibilities

· Provide first-line support for hardware, software, and account issues.

· Assist with device setup, onboarding, and troubleshooting.

· Maintain IT asset records and support inventory audits.

· Help implement cybersecurity measures such as patching, MFA, phishing awareness, and ticket processing.

· Contribute to IT documentation and process improvement initiatives

Requirements

· Proactive, enthusiastic, and eager to learn.

· Currently studying or recently completed an IT-related qualification (Bsc would be preferable, although not essential).

· Familiar with Windows, Microsoft 365, and basic networking concepts.

· Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

· Genuine interest in cybersecurity and IT operations.
