We are looking for an experienced Product Manager with strong Banana production and management expertise to deliver Tropic’s Banana products to our global target market.

Job Purpose

The Product Manager Banana develops, implements and coordinates the strategic and tactical planning of Tropic’s Banana products for the target markets across the globe. In addition, the Product Manager Banana leads, supervises and develops the internal company knowledge and expertise in Banana and sets appropriate goals and actions to achieve the maximum value from all opportunities to improve market share and profitability. The Product Manager has a central role in coordinating activities across the company so as to achieve the companies desired goals and targets.

Responsibilities

• Develops and manages the Banana product profiles.

• Provides technical support and guidance to both external and internal customers.

• Keeps updated all information regarding market value, market share, market trends, competition activities, etc.

• Manage the complete product life cycle of all the Tropic Banana varieties, comprising all phases from the development and launching of new products, until the end life of the product

• Develops, implements and executes the Crop Reviews for Banana

Requirements

• Formal education in Agriculture/Agronomic Engineering

• Deep expertise in Banana production and management

• Good understanding of the Banana business (6+ years’ experience in banana industry)

• Relevant technical background with a commercial approach

• Fluent English and Spanish speaker
